100 days down, 80ish to go
November 7th, 2009
Woohoo! We’ve made it through 100 days without Troy, and Troy’s made it through 100 days of deployment. I know, we should have made a fuss over Day 90 because that’s allegedly the halfway point, but Troy’s homecoming date is up in the air, so who knows.
It seemed right to make a fuss about 100 days, though, because, c’mon, A HUNDRED DAYS! Look at all those photos. We’ve actually managed to take a picture every day, more or less. I only had to fudge once.
Here’s to 100 days down!
View the photoset 180 photos for Troy on Flickr, or view the mosaic large.

100 days is definitely something to make a fuss about – well done all, keep the lovely photos coming…
wow. i don’t know if i could make it without my husband for that long….it must be long for troy as well!
here’s hoping that he’ll be home soon:)
p.s.: i saw that writing annalie did on your flickr photostream. wow. she’s really good at it! and i don’t know what all of it means, but i’m really impressed.
I’m really impressed you’ve made it so long – both in terms of being apart from Troy and in terms of taking a photo for him each day.
Hats off to you!
That’s awesome!! Congrats!! Are you going to keep up the 100 days theme all day? Like measure out how many 100 steps is? Make a necklace using 100 fruit loops? Jump 100 times? :) Teacher in me talking. We did stuff like that on 100 days of school. Celebrate you made it though 100 days!!
You’re going to have to frame this for his desk or something when you’re done. It’s very impressive. :)
I agree with SAJ, this is very impressive and a nice frame up of the entire set would be fantastic. Kudos to you and Annalie for coming through with a photo no matter what.
100 days IS a big deal!
I’m sure he appreciates “seeing” you two every day. :)
I’ve been thinking about Troy and you guys a lot this week because I can see the USS New York from my office. I’m hoping to get a chance to tour the ship before it leaves but it’s pretty awesome, even from several blocks away! I’m really grateful for what Troy and his shipmates are doing for me and my country and I thank you and Annalie, too, for giving him up for all our safety. I hope the last 80 days of his deployment will fly by!
Yay for 100 days! Hopefully the rest of it will fly by and he’ll be home soon! And hey, look, no catastrophic house issues while he has been gone! (yet. I’m crossing my fingers for you!)
wow, 100 days! that is very impressive. here’s to hoping that the rest flies right on by!
AWESOME! I love that mosaic!
Thank you for the sweet card and photo of me and Annalie. :) I have it up in the schoolroom on one of our calendars.
I clicked on this post from my reader and saw it was the last one so said, “whoo hoo” because I’m all caught up. And the first thing I read on your post is “Woohoo!” Bwa ha ha!
And woohoo for 100 days! Have you seen woohoo so many times in a comment?
