180 photos for Troy
August 2nd, 2009
Annalie and I took this picture of us this morning with photobooth and emailed it to Troy. We’re going to try to take a picture of us every day to send to Troy (and will put them all in the photoset 180 photos for Troy on Flickr) just to make sure he doesn’t forget what we look like. The first two photos have been fairly straightforward, but we might try to get creative with some of them, who knows.
My mom flew into town yesterday, right as Troy’s ship was getting underway. She had hoped she would be able to see it from the plane as she was landing, but no such luck.
In case anyone’s worried because I have not posted for a couple of days, we’re not sitting around in our pj’s eating ice cream straight from the carton or anything like that. We miss Troy but we’re enjoying our visit with my mom. I would post photos of and write a more detailed post about what we’ve been up to, but we’ve been too busy! Which is a good thing when Troy is gone—staying busy makes the time pass quickly and painlessly. I’ll get around to writing more soon.
Thank you to everyone for your sweet comments on the last post. We appreciate all your thoughts, good wishes, and prayers. Keep ‘em coming, please!

I missed your last post because I was camping- but wanted to add my well wishes for a quick separation and prayers that all wil be well with all of you while you are apart.
((hugs))
Six months, wow, I feel for you Bethany. And Troy, too. What a long time to be away from your family. I know its probably just part of your life as a Navy family, but still difficult for me to imagine. We’ll be praying for all of you. And I love the photo idea!
What a great idea. Have fun with your Mom even though I know you always do!
180 photos for Troy, what a Fabulous idea!! I am sure you guys will keep busy. And having your Mom there for the first bit must make the transition easier.
If you do find yourself with free time and thoughts of flying feel free to come up and visit us, there is always a spare bed and it sure would be an adventure.
this picture of you two is gorgeous, and i *love* the family portraits in the last post. thinking of you all, and really looking forward to seeing the rest of this set :)
I think that is a great idea!
And on a side note…did you get your hair cut? It looks like you have cute little pixie cut here.
