We had such a fun day at the zoo today! Brenda and Bug took pity on us and came up for a quick visit while Troy is gone this week. I tempted them with the promise of a fun and FREE trip to the zoo, since I had a guest pass for Brenda to use. I think they were glad they came.

We’re zoo members, and Bug was free because she’s only two, so our whole zoo visit was completely free! I love it when I don’t have to worry about getting my money’s worth out of something. It frees me up to just enjoy whatever happens, and we can leave whenever the kids are ready to go, even if we’ve only been there for an hour.

As it happens, we saw quite a lot of the zoo today. Koalas, ducks, bears, monkeys, lemurs, flamingos, pandas, otters, and goats, just to name a few. And then we ended the day with a skyride, which is where Annalie took her self-portrait.
