An interview with Annalie
January 7th, 2009
What is your name?
Annalie Sophia {Lastname}.
How old are you?
Four.
Where do you live?
In California.
Do you have any pets?
Yes. I have two pets, Lily and Katy. They’re cats. They used to not have collars—we lost their other ones—and now Katy has a blue flower one and Lily has a green heart one. They match their eyes!
Who do you like to play with?
Derek & Desiree—they’re my cousins. Gabby & Annie. I pretty much have too many friends and I forgot all their names.
What’s your favorite cereal?
I liiiiike…Bran Wheat. (Further questioning revealed this to be her name for Raisin Nut Bran.)
What’s your favorite vegetable?
Baby corn!
What’s your favorite drink?
Strawberry juice.
What’s your favorite snack?
Peanuts.
What’s your favorite toy?
Dolly the dolphin! We play together with toys. She even has a baby sister, but she’s visiting her Gramaw Dolphin right now.
What’s your favorite TV Show?
Spongebob and Tom & Jerry
What’s your favorite movie?
What’s your favorite game?
Dolphin tag! It’s like Hungry Hungry Hippos, except it’s with dolphins and you push their tails and it has little fish in the middle and you have to gobble the fishes. The one who gobbles the most fish is the winner! (She totally made that game up on the spot. She was in storytelling mode when I did this interview apparently.)
And I like the dress-up game on Charlie and Lola dot com.
What’s your favorite book?
What’s your favorite restaurant?
Chick-fil-A
What’s your favorite holiday?
My birthday. (Said very firmly and with no hesitation whatsoever.)
What’s your favorite animal?
A horsie.
If you could change your name, what name would you choose?
Princess.
Would you have a middle name?
No, just Princess.
What do you love about each person in our family?
Daddy always gives me shoulder rides. Mommy makes the yummiest food I ever tasted. I love that I am God’s Little Princess.
Where would you like to go on vacation this year?
To Gabby & Annie’s house so I can see all my friends in Maryland.
What are some of your wishes for this year?
I hope that someone will have enough money to buy me a Swim to Me Puppy. That’s my only wish.
Thanks, Annalie! That was a good interview.
You’re welcome!

Inspiration for this interview came from New Year’s Interview for Kids at Blissfully Domestic (via The Crafty Crow). I don’t scrapbook, but I have a blog, and I’m not afraid to use it! I hope to repeat this interview annually. I think it’ll be fun to compare the answers from year to year.

That was very sweet.
That dolphin game sounds fun. I was totally disappointed it’s not real. ;-)
Great interview, I wonder what answers I would get out of J? May have to try this later.
And I am so happy that another four year old loves Spongebob too!
Fabulous idea! I’m going to have to give it a try with Wildman!
What a great idea and what a riot Annalie is.
I just dressed Lola in a tutu and rubber boots and let her dive for treasure!
I am totally doing this with Beeker, Leo & Mehitabel and Rocco. They aren’t as funny as Annalie, but they’ll do.
i love that pink dress she is wearing in the photo where she is drinking diet pepsi… so cute! this was fun…
The yearly version is an awesome idea!
I love that girl. She’s just so fun.
I followed your lead and did this with Sophie this morning.

I have it on video, but I decided not to use it. I was laughing so hard at some of her answers, all you can hear is snorting and cackling in some parts. Lovely, indeed.
Thanks for the idea! (I give you credit at the end of the post.) =)
[...] really enjoyed Bethay’s interview with Annalie so I decided to try it with Wildman this afternoon. Interviewing will have to become an annual [...]
