Bug: What does it feel like to be you, Annalie?
Annalie: Well, let’s see…it feels good, comfortable, happy. Actually I really like being me!
B: Blue car!
A: Blue BAR! Hahahahahaha!
B: …Where’s a blue ball? I don’t see any blue balls.
B: Wiggling your butt always helps! Make the lights turn green, wiggle your butt! Keep wiggling…
A: Nope. I’m not feeling it.
B: Annalie, how does it feel to be you, in your body?
A: Hmm. It feels like a squirrel, a glob of mud, a book, the wind, a corndog, annnnd…a cheeseburger.
A: Let’s go super fast!
B: No, I don’t like going fast.
A: But we’re in a racecar!

And Bug’s response about not liking to go fast and Annalie’s reasoning about being in a racecar sounds exactly like what my brother and I would have said as kids. (I would be Bug in this example!)
Now I’m craving a cheeseburger.

That’s wonderful! Friends for life, I’m certain. I do love how deep Bug gets with her questions. Sometimes I wonder that too…just how do other people feel in their bodies. But Annalie’s answers clear up A LOT! :)
“But we’re in a race car!” I think I’ve heard Joe say that exact thing while driving a certain someone’s Porsche. Don’t tell Troy!
I love the simple, pure innocence of little people!
Such a happy thing, to hear a kid say she’s happy.
The squirrel etc. answer also makes me happy. That’s also an answer to be proud of!
