Annalie doing a little musical improv
January 6th, 2008
The other day while Troy was sitting with Annalie at the kitchen table as she painted, we were cracking up because she was absent-mindedly singing about growing up and getting bigger and stronger. I even twittered about it. Troy grabbed the camera and shot a short video. I wish we could’ve gotten the whole thing because this is only a small sample of her composing. Oh, it also will give you an idea of how she likes to paint. Added bonus: you get to hear Troy’s voice briefly. Please ignore the mess in the background. Thank you. Enjoy!
“Every day, I’m growing bigger, and I’m painting bigger mountains…” from bethany actually on Vimeo.

She had actions & everything! I wonder if she learned a song in Sunday School that she adapted to her own?
You will have to ask her :-)
That was a lovely picture she was making too. See, she liked those California mountains, didn’t she!
Hope she is walking more today & feeling better. Wish I was there.
OMG look at that mess!!! *horrified gasp*
Just kidding. :)
This was very sweet. You may have a little picasso in the making there, Bethany.
I love that she sings when she grows up she’ll be a Mom. What a great compliment to you! Her artwork is fantastic, too. Neither of my boys could let paint make mountains like that – they’d be covered in paint, nose to toes, from splatting those mountains!
That looks like what my oldest was doing a few days ago :-)

Squeeze paint is the best!
The song sounds like something from a Caillou DVD we have! Caillou drives me nuts but Wildman seems to love it!
There’s a mess in the background? I couldn’t take my eyes off her painting.
Kenny is now singing “When I grow up I’m going to be a mom.”
Um…not quite son.
I’m with Karen – what a testimony to how great she thinks you are…she wants to be a MOM!
That was so sweet.
How very cute. Ditto above. My thoughts were that she wants to be like her Mom.
Aw…I agree – what a great testament to a great Momma!
That video is so cute! I’ve played it a few times and this last time I had my Bethany sitting on my lap. She got so excited and started to “dance” she loves music and aparently Annalie has the perfect song for getting her groove on.
You’ve got a lovely girlie, what a treasure.
Bethany, How absolutely adorable! I love the way she says “bigger” and how she is growing up to be a Mom!! I just wanted to give her a big hug ;)
