Annalie carefully placed a cup upside-down on my head, sat back, and said with a mischievous look, “That sure is a funny hat you’re wearing, Mama. Is that a cup on your head?” Then she cracked up.
Annalie came up on the couch to snuggle with me, and after a minute looked up at me and said, “Mama, I like you. The first time I met you, I didn’t like you. But now, I LIKE you!”
“The first time you met me you didn’t like me?”
“No. When I was just born, I was shy of you.”

I love it! Kids say the darndest things. It makes my heart melt every time Little ‘Ny says “You’re my best friend, Mom.”

When Annalie gets married, you must give her husband a published book, each page opening up to a photo of her on the right and an Annalie-ism in a cute type font on the left. Just a small 5×7 book or so. I can see it.
These are priceless – precious, even.
