Annalie learns to paint with light
October 24th, 2008
The other day on the way to dinner at Peter Piper Pizza (Annalie’s first time at one of those pizza joints with an arcade full of games that spit out tickets to be exchanged for cheap prizes, which she LOVED and about which I have yet to blog) I pulled out my point-and-shoot camera and took a couple of photos on the night setting. I love painting with light—doing that thing where you wiggle the camera around on a long exposure so you capture abstract, pretty streams of light.
Annalie asked what I was doing. I explained, showed her how to hold down the shutter while pointing it at some lights, and handed the camera to her. She took all of these:

Those are really pretty, funny how something that’s technically a “mistake” can turn out so lovely.
So fun! Way to go Annalie!
