Annalie’s web
April 12th, 2008
While we were eating breakfast, I asked Annalie if she had a good night’s sleep.
“Yes. I had a nice dream!”
“Oh yeah? What was it about?”
“I dreamed I was meeting a nice, funny spider. It was a tarantula, and he was the size of a dinner plate!”
“Wow, that’s a pretty big spider. Were you scared of him in your dream?”
“No. He was a nice tarantula, and I was a person. And Daddy told me, don’t be scared. And then I dreamed that the next morning I woke up, and I was a spider!”
“You were?”
“Yes, I WAS! Can you BELIEVE me!?”
“Was it scary being a spider in your dream?”
“Nope. Because my friends were spiders, and my neighbors were spiders, and you were a spider and Daddy was a spider and Katy and Lily were spiders, and we all lived on a spiderweb!”
“Really? I bet that was fun. What was your favorite part of being a spider?”
Annalie popped a strawberry into her mouth, chewed thoughtfully, and swallowed before answering, “Sneaking into people’s houses.”

She is so cool!!! I love that story.
That is awesome. I’m happy you shared it :)
So cute. I love those little stories. Those are the ones you want to remember when they are older. Awesome.
Too cute.
Hee hee hee! Sneaking into people’s houses. Too cute!
You know, now I might feel a bit bad about squishing the very large, very hairy spiders we generally find in our basement in the spring!
Wow, I usually get freaked out when I dream about spiders. Annalie is one cool girl. :)
There is a lot going on in that little head!
I want the first signed copy of her first book. That girl? She’s gonna be a writer!
It’s funny how she accepted the role of the spider as normal and wasn’t scared. And she’s right, being a spider in a house would be a lot better than being a fly on the wall.
BWAHAHAHA!
I’d think sneaking into people’s houses was the best part of being a spider too! That and darting in and out of their mouths while they slept…
