Alma stands for my beloved Nana. That was her name. She was a huge part of my upbringing and died a few years ago after many years of struggling with Alzheimers. I love that it means soul.

Wow, this is crazy. Your two friends look remarkably like my two midwives. Like, crazy remarkable!

I actually quite like overcooked angel food cake. It kind of tastes caramelized.

What kind of mixer do you have. I have a super duper Kitchen Aid stand mixer but I want to switch to a Bosch Kitchen Machine. Your thoughts, ye baker extraordinaire? :)

Chris and I have always exchanged small things, too, often edible. This year, we turned out to have a cheesy theme…Cheddar Jack Cheez-Its and a dark chocolate covered cheese cake – much yumminess at our house!

Sounds like you had a great day. J has been sick all weekend too, such a drag for us because it was a four day weekend (Pd day and Family day). We don’t go big on Valentine’s but we each bought ourselves a gift of something we wanted, J got some Lego and we had steak for supper with chocolate fondue for dessert. It was grand.

We had such a great time! Thank you for thinking of me and offering. And the craft turned out really well, although I was so busy with 10 kids that I never got photos of it. I have leftovers, though. You want to get together and melt some crayons?
