Day 1 – Laundry day
October 3rd, 2009
I’ve been ignoring the laundry for a couple of weeks now, but we’re going on a trip soon so it had to be faced. Today I spent the better part of three hours loading the washer & dryer, sorting, folding, hanging, carrying up and downstairs, and putting away. And I’m still not done, there’s more laundry to be dealt with tomorrow. (View the photo largest size to snoop.)

I took this photo from our upstairs deck last night. To me, this is a very California view. I love it and I will miss it when we move next year. That’s life in the Navy. Months before you leave, you’re already thinking of saying good-bye. *sigh*
This plush guitar arrived in the mail today. I bought it from Etsy seller CrashCanStudios/SewCuteSweets in anticipation of Halloween. Annalie’s planning to dress up as a rock star.

Here is Annalie’s 7 Days shot. I don’t know if she’ll last the whole week, but I’ll keep encouraging her. This was going to be our Day 65 photo for Troy, but when we saw the full moon we decided to take another one for that.

I can’t remember the last time I did laundry. Alan’s been taking care of it, I love him. I’m going to have to take charge though because Alan is great with washing clothes. But not so much with the folding.
And that plush guitar is cool. Annalie can totally pull it off!
I love the choice of the full moon for Troy as it’s an element of the scene he can share too.

How does that work in the Navy? Will Troy be assigned to a different ship or does the ship transfer ports?
Haha! Rocco says Annalie has the face and pose down for the rock star! You really do plan ahead sometimes! I haven’t even decided what dish I am taking to an apple squeeze today.

I agree with others…love your laundry room! For me, laundry is my favourite chore. :)

I love that sequence of you doing the laundry! Very neat. And creative. And the sunset classic California shot? LOVE IT. I also love San Diego. I miss it. Even though I was only there for 10 days.
