Chatting with Heather a couple of weeks ago about our moving plans, I mentioned that we would be passing through Dallas. She asked when, exactly, and we realized that we would actually be there at the same time, if all went according to our separate plans. And they did!

1/7 - With a special guest appearance

We also met up with Bill & Sarah and their son B for lunch, which was wonderful. Traveling all the way across the country in four days is no picnic, but it makes it a little easier when we can meet up with friends. As Troy said half-seriously, “Being on the road makes withdrawals from your emotional account. Seeing friends makes deposits back into your emotional account.” (Blogged just for you, Sarah!)

Other than that though, it’s been a lot of driving. Lots and lots and lots of driving.

She finally gave in to sleep

A little bit of napping.

And more driving to come. Today we should arrive at our destination. Wish us luck!

How cool that you got to see OMSHeather! I hope your travel today does bring you to your destination…I’m sure you’ve all had quite enough of being in the car by now!

WOW, What a beautiful photo of you and Heather. And yes, Troy is right about the traveling. I can’t wait to see your final destination in California.

All that driving looks exhausting. I agree with Troy’s analogy of an emotional account. He’s very wise. Hope things went well today. Wish you’d been able to move closer rather than farther away! Oh well, maybe next time!

I’ve been praying for a safe trip. I’m so glad we didn’t miss out on the opportunity to get in our time!

SO much driving. You guys are troopers - but Annalie is amazing; such a great traveler.

It was FABULOUS meeting and hugging on your Momma! And of course, it is always good to see Troy - btw, I swear he’s a poet. That is an awesome statement about traveling.
