Day 3 – on the floor at Gate 7
October 6th, 2009
When Annalie and I got to the airport this morning the check-in line for Southwest was insanely long. But the line was moving so we got through it relatively quickly. Then we walked 7.3 miles to the end of the security line, because as crazy as the check-in line was, the security line was even longer. Why were all these people traveling on a random Monday in October, you ask? No idea.
In the end, we made it to our gate with a half-hour to spare. We still had to sit on the floor because all the chairs were full. Oh well.
Annalie used some special effects in Photo Booth to get her 7 Days shot.
Then we got on a plane and flew to Omaha via Phoenix and Denver. I sat in the window seat the first two flights, and on the last one I let Annalie have the window seat. Wouldn’t you have let her, with this face?
All flights were uneventful and we’re in Omaha for only a day before we road-trip to Indiana.

How fun! And what a good girl is Annalie!!! I can’t even think about many flights without getting mad or at least angry, and look at her smile!!!!! lol…
Hello travellers.
Just wanted to stop by and let you know that I HAVE BOOKED MY FLIGHT!!!
Sorry…screaming in excitement.
I will let you know the details soon.
Oh…and my visa was approved too. Squee!
Geez, no one gave up their seat for you and your child? How rude!! Have a fun time in Omaha, hope the weather holds out for you. Heard it is getting cold back there. Where in Indiana will you be because the Danish cousins are on their way to Bloomington and you might have a chance to meet them, but then they are coming to Omaha too… you may be gone by then though.
Hey, you’re coming to Indiana? That’s awesome! I have been reading your blog for a while — I think Annalee was 3 the first time I read a post of yours. I’m in Indiana, so it’s cool to know that you’ll be here! :) Bring a jacket — it’s been quite chilly lately.
Another person chiming in to ask where in Indiana you’re going to be…I say I’m from there and I still get a little homesick :)
Because of my hiatus from the internet/blogs, I missed the beginning of 7 days! BOO! I would try to catch up now, but I think my life is a little too overwhelming. Sad.
I’m glad you two got there safely!! Enjoy yourselves!!
Would you believe that I’m in Nebraska right now? We just flew into Omaha today. Funny how we keep missing each other without knowing it.
