Day 4 – goofing around with mirrors and Elaine
September 26th, 2012
Elaine dropped by for a visit this morning! I plied her with coffee and figs from our tree, we caught up on each other’s lives, and we ran around my house and yard looking for self-portrait possibilities.
We have a huge L-shaped closet in our bedroom with big mirrored doors right across from the mirror over the sink vanity, and we tried to find a fun way to use those, but the angles weren’t cooperating with us. I did catch this simple reflection of the two of us in one of the doors that I liked a lot, though. And Elaine got a fantastic photo of us jumping in our backyard, with Elliora looking on and wondering if we’ve lost our minds.
A couple of people on Flickr commented that it looked like we were delighted to be together, to which I replied, we were! I missed seeing Elaine on our last visit to California, unfortunately. This was the first time we’d seen each other in two years! It was so great to get to hang out with her. Even better, this was only the first time of many now that we live in the same town again.

Such a fun morning!
