Day 5 - Me and my favorite movie
March 12th, 2008
As I just mentioned in my 100 things about me list the other day, The Princess Bride is one of my all-time favorite movies. It happened to be on HBOFamily tonight, so I thought it would do nicely for the 7 Days/Day 5 theme of “Me and my….” The scene in the photo takes place right before the Man in Black utters one of my all-time favorite movie lines, after Buttercup accuses him of mocking her pain:
“Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something.”

“It’s been 20 years now and I am starting to lose confidence.”

Was there supposed to be a comma in that sentence?

Inconceivable!
Oh, how I want to watch this movie right this minute.

Ha! I knew the movies the second I saw that image. Looove it.
Good line, too… causes reflection.

And oooo!, it looks pretty on your tv screen.
After meeting my husband, we both started introducing each other to the cult classics of our two cultures. Princess Bride was one of the first movies I showed him. He didn’t fall in love with it and I was SO disappointed! Oh well, too bad for him!

I’ll have to watch this again. My Sister used to quote the film for years, so it should be a laugh to see it again.
Nice photo.

Awesome happy movie, great all around, I love it in spite of the fact that I got told I looked just like Fred Savage when I was younger all the time… one of those movies that REALLY hold’s up well on repeated viewings and I generally hate watching things more than once or twice.

I went through a phase where I responded to everything as “My name is Inigo Montoya…you killed my father…prepare to die…”
It’s one of my all time favorite movies too. Birds of a feather. :)

I love this movie as well. Although I haven’t watched it in ages!

That was actually my senior yearbook quote, a little dark for a 17 year old but that’s me! One of my family’s favorite movies ever, plus the book is great, too.

Kassie, was it really? THAT is totally awesome, and just confirms why I like you so much. :-)

I love that movie too. I knew what it was just from the picture. LOL Thanks for stopping by my blog. Maybe next time I’ll break out the Mod Podge for our craft and see how that goes. :)
