all the dottery in the house*

Why am I showing you a photo of all* the dottery in my house? Because at the end of this month, I’m teaching a dottery-painting class at the local pottery-painting studio where I’m a regular! If you’re a DC/SoMD local and are interested, leave me a comment and I can email you the info. I’ve been painting at this place for years—it’s the same place where I painted when we lived in Maryland—and I’m excited to teach a class. I think it’s gonna be fun!

*Except for a bread tray, a veggies-and-dip tray, and a large serving bowl. And maybe a Christmas ornament or two. Basically this is all the dottery that was within easy reach in the cupboards.

I think you need to do a video tutorial…I’d love to make it to your class…but a commute of half a day is just too far. :(

I’m feeling very special because I had the *cough, cough* one-on-one dottery class. :)

I drink out of my dottery coffee mug EVERY DAY. I wish I could come to your class. Have fun!!

Gorgeous! I’d totally attend if I was in the area.

Depending on the time I’d love to attend!!

  7. Melissa says:

If only you lived, oh say, about 700 miles closer to me, I could totally make it!

Hey! Wylers will be in DC then. She would probably love to come. Is it in DC or SoMD? How much is the class, what day and time, etc?

How neat! I wish I lived close enough to come down for your class. I’ll have to continue to admire your work mostly from afar – the key dish you made for me still makes me happy, every day!

I will be there in spirit! I love painting pottery :-)

It might be a tad too far for me, and I might not even be in town, but I’m very interested in the details!! I would love to meet you and to learn first hand how you paint your dottery.

I need to take my girls. Lisa wants to make a mug for her daddy… I hope I still have enough time to get it… I should really get going with this!
    I love the dots.

I love your dottery! It’s beautiful and fabulous and if you sold a whole dishes set I might just have to buy it. I’m in love with those bowls. If I could be there I would to learn the art! Pottery painting intimidates me, I can craft anything with yarn. When I paint I wind up with more in my hair than I do on my project.

    I love my dottery platter!

My mom and I would love to attend. We use to do floral designs with lots of lines. Considered referring to it as ‘stripery’ but since thats one letter away from ‘strippery’ I went with “floral designs with lines”. If you could send me some details we’d love to come.

As a former student, I think you will be a fantastic teacher! Lucky students.

  17. BeachMama says:

Oh How exciting!!! You should video it and then do online classes!! Ack, I will be in DE at the time, so I take a day from the beach for a class with you?? Decisions, decisions…..

I second the tutorial request! I love your dottery I am desperate to make my own. If I lived remotely near DC I would totally come to your class, but I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin. :-)
