Five Annalieisms
March 4th, 2008
Annalie, putting something in her pocket:
“I’m just gonna keep these for safekeeping, in case I spill something on those ones. Isn’t that a great idea?”
“Are you planning on spilling something?”
“Noooo…you crack me up!”
Troy and I were talking while Annalie watched a movie, and she got annoyed:
“Be much quieter, please!”
“Annalie, why are you up so early?”
“Oh, I guess I just wanted to see the sunrise.”
Annalie getting frustrated while trying to peel a boiled egg:
“My egg won’t cooperate!”
Annalie asked me out of the blue, “Did you lose your keys?”
“I don’t know. Did you find some keys?”
She held out some imaginary keys. “Yeah, they’re Miss Bekah’s!”
“They’re Miss Bekah’s keys? Where’d you find them?”
“Um, I found…Superman is really brave. He found some keys.” She paused. “Can I have a snack?”

Hehehehe.
1. Eggs hardly ever cooperate.
2. I’m going to adopt the pausing/asking for a snack thing for when I talk myself into a corner. It’s genius.
I agree with Sonja.
It really does throw kids for a lop sometimes when we play along. She probably had a whole dialogue in her head, and it started with you saying no.
I love those! She’d be perfect on that Kids say the Darndest things…can you only imagine how baffled she’d have good ol’ Bill.
I thought saving the ‘extras’ in her pocket was a great idea! :)
Darned eggs…..
The last one is perfect.
It IS the mind of a 3-4 year old all the way.
Diversion! They learn social manipulation so young these days… :)
That Annalie cracks me up! She’s stinkin’ hilarious :o)
So cute. J has been coming up with some fun things lately, today it was all about the word “appetite”. He used it for everything, but what he was supposed to use it for.
Annalie is too funny. She sounds like a cutie.
