It still amazes me just how differently children the same age can see the world. Acorn (same age as Analie) becomes upset to the point of near-hysterics if he thinks his clothes might not match. Navy shirt, orange shorts? Only if those racing stripes were navy, I tell you. (I don’t know where he gets this, but it’s not from his mama.)

I love the little girl outfits that look like a kid picked them out. My favorites involve patterned tights and funky colored tops and bottoms. It’s the same look that Bri sports when her Daddy dresses her. He did that today and I got a picture with my NEW camera!

My PB is the same way still at 9. I occassionaly point something out if it’s extreme, but for the most part I don’t worry about it anymore. She currently loves to pair her plaid shorts with striped shirts, because both have pink so they must match. My 5 year old boy pretty much wears whatever I hand him, as he would prefer to stay in his jammies alllllll daaaaaayyy longggggg.

Who is to say what doesn’t match. When I was growing up pink and orange and green didn’t go together and today they are the hottest trend.
You have to pick your battles….this one isn’t it.
Good for her. After a while she will decide what she likes together. Experimenting with clothes is a good way to experiment.
