How to make your own funky envelope
August 31st, 2008
When I was in college, my roommate Erin used to get letters from her friend Aspen in handmade envelopes. Aspen created them from magazine pages, and Erin and I thought it was so cool we started making them ourselves…
If you like, you can read the rest over at Secret Agent Josephine where I am guest-posting while my friend Brenda takes a blog vacation.
(Psst, Erin! Is that really how we learned to make these? :-) I am about 97% sure that’s where we got it. If I am wrong, feel free to correct me in the comments.)

Hey that is what my friend and I used to do too. Only ours was way less planned out and a little sloppy. Then again we were 14.
I had forgotten all about making them….oh the memories, the letters!
I am going digging!

Ha ha! I read that and thought, “We learned it from Aspen?!” I totally believe you, but I kinda thought I got the idea from you!

I remember making envelopes at my last job for fun once. I used scrap paper and I decorated them with shiny gel pens and everyone thought I was weird.
