Lemons falling from the sky

April 2nd, 2009

I wrote briefly a couple of posts ago about how Troy and Annalie & Bug picked lemons by shaking the tree and gathering them off the ground. Brenda took a short movie of the lemon-tree shaking that is pretty funny. She shared the code with me so you could enjoy it too. Look out below!

I am SO jealous! I love lemons and would love to live somewhere that could support a lemon tree!

And my flower beds are still under a foot of snow.

I am sooooo coming to your house one winter, what a blast! I have never had a fresh lemon and had no idea so many could grow on one tree, amazing!!

Oh to have a lemon tree that produces as many lemons as yours! Have you ever made candied lemon peel? I think I remember seeing the recipe in a Martha Stewart magazine. Almost forgot, thanks to SAJ for mentioning the Bruleed Lemon Bars! Delish!

This reminds me – in this month’s Bon Appetit, there is a recipe for brownie bottom lemon cheesecake. Which I will be making.
