Lounging on the lawn under the lemon tree
December 4th, 2008
Annalie has been doing this thing lately where she goes outside, spreads a beach towel on the grass, and lays down on it with the umbrella open and propped up to shade her face from the sun. Usually she brings a snack and a couple of books and maybe one of her dolls, too. I don’t know where she got the idea, but I love that she does it.
In other news, I’m still sick. Pass me that box of Kleenex, will you?

The pouring rain and dark, dark skies we had this morning make this all the more remarkable to me. Good ol’ California!
That’s adorable. I love how kids just pick up on concepts like the umbrella for shade. How warm is it there right now?!
don’t you love christmas in california. my first winter here (from Alberta Canada) I thought it was so wrong to have bare legs in dec.
I really need to move to California…
She looks adorable :)
She looks so mature in this photo, like some adorable 1930′s child actress!
Ah, some California sunshine! Annalie is precious.
How cute that she shades herself! Tell her the alabaster brow is totally making a comeback and she should avoid the overtan for all she’s worth. :)
I’m sorry you’re still sick – ick! We’re keeping Kleenex in business here, too. Did you know you can get money for a 529 college fund for Annalie from every purchase of Kleenex? Check out UPromise.com if you’re not already signed up. We’ve gotten about $1700 for our kids’ funds since we started six years ago!
Oh I wish I was Annalie right now. I really, really could use a warm day and to sit outside and enjoy a great book in the sun. Hope your cold is better.
