Normal 101
April 4th, 2008
As we arrived at the hotel in North Carolina where we were visiting Troy’s sister and her family, Annalie informed me, “Aunt Dana is SO silly.”
I told her, “You’ll have to say, ‘Aunt Dana, don’t be so silly! Just be normal!’ And she’ll say, ‘But I don’t know how to be normal!’”
Annalie brightly replied, “I can teach her!”
I laughed. “You can?”
“Sure! I know all about normal.”

Yeah….what CC said.
My first niece is due in July, and when she is old enough I totally intend on being the silly Aunty. I can’t think of anything better or more fun!

Annalie, I need another lesson in “normal” because I don’t think today’s lesson was enough to get rid of my sillies!!! Love Aunt Dana

Thanks, everyone!
Rhi - I agree. :-)
cc - That’s exactly what I wanted to ask her!
Lauren - I know. If I had a niece I would also be the cookie-baking auntie and the french-braiding auntie.
Linda - Yep, just for a quick trip. Thanks for the welcome! One of my best friends (Erin of wedding cake fame) lived in Goldsboro a few years back when I lived in Virginia Beach, so I used to spend a lot of time down here.
Dana - Annalie says she’d love to, except after today she doesn’t know if it’s even possible for you to learn. ;-) See you tomorrow!

Oh my gosh! I cannot get enough of her….preciouse.
This cracked me up so much, can you bring her to my house?
I need an Annalie dose!

Not sure where in NC you are but you can’t be too far from my little Sis, so wave Hi for me :).
How sweet of Annalie to want to teach her Aunt normal. Annalie comes up with some of the cutest sayings. I think J does too but I don’t always remember to write it down :(

Ah, you’re in my neck of the woods! Tell Annalie that normal is overrated - silliness is the new cool! What part of NC are ya in? My fair state is happy to have ya:)

Hehe…I love those priceless moments.

Anna - We could arrange a loan. ;-)
BeachMama - I waved in all directions to make sure it’d get to your sister! When Annalie says something I want to remember, I usually either write it down or send someone an email so I’ll have a record of it!
Erin - Annalie is actually the Queen of Silly herself, so I am not sure why she thinks she’d be a good Normal instructor!
Robin - Me too. :-)

Annalie, I need to learn how to be normal too. Can you come here - oh, and bring your mom too for the ride, okay?
