Not gonna slow down anytime soon

So here’s the scoop.
Tuesday I got my hair cut. Yesterday Annalie got her hair cut. (That isn’t earth-shattering but they are appointments and we don’t have many of those, so when we have two in a row it feels busy.)
This morning, Thursday, was Bekah’s surprise birthday breakfast. She loves surprises, so we were all pretty proud of ourselves that we pulled it off, and I think she was proud of us too, and very pleased with her party.
Playgroup tomorrow is a birthday party for Dylan.
Saturday my friend Lynn is having a Pampered Chef party that is basically just an excuse to eat yummy food and have a glass of wine and play with Lynn’s beads and jewelry-making stuff.
Sunday evening is the girls’ night farewell party for Deborah, at her house, where we’ll eat all sorts of calorie-laden treats and watch a movie and give our final gifts to our Secret Santas/Valentines.
Tuesday morning I’m watching Jack for an hour while Bekah gets a birthday massage. Then we’ll probably meet her and some other friends for her birthday lunch.
Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, so we’ll be attending worship that night.
Next Friday is our playgroup Valentine’s Day party (Valentags for everyone!).
Next Saturday is a birthday party for Bekah’s older daughter Cassie at the movie theater on base, which is fun. Bekah rented the theater ($25 deposit that you get back if you sweep up the floor before you go) and we’ll watch a free movie and eat popcorn and cake. Since we have the whole place to ourselves, the kids can run up and down the aisles if they want to, or even up on the stage if the adults are feeling particularly lenient.
After all these events, you’d think we would be making plans to sit at home and watch DVDs while eating cheese popcorn for a day or two, but no, not us! We’ve got travel plans that involve flying, a rental car, driving long distances, and visiting friends and family in three (possibly four) different cities. I am looking forward to all of it, but I can’t help but think that one day I need to take a real live VACATION where I do nothing but relax on the beach.
(This blow-by-blow of Bethany’s life has been brought to you by too little sleep, too much caffeine, and repeated viewings of Zoboomafoo.)

Must be rough… parties, going out to eat, movies, playgroups, parties, going out to eat, traveling, visiting friends and family… I wish I was “that” kind of busy :)

Busy, busy, busy! At least it all sounds fun.
And renting a movie theatre, what a fun idea for a party. That’s fantastic!

Dana, I know, you’re right! It sounds like I am complaining about my many friends and all the annoying parties I am forced to attend. I know I am blessed and I am thankful…I just wish my blessings were spread out over a larger period of time. :-)
Jill, I’ve been to several movie parties at that theater and they’ve all been great! It’s a pretty cool set-up.

Is anyone else hearing the Mazda song? “Zoom Zoom Zoom” :o) Enjoy your trips and get-togethers!!! It’s fun to be busy…stay safe too!
Take care,

No, she needs to come to the North WEST.
Just think of all that activity as excuses to NOT vacuum the floor.
