Troy and I just spent the evening writing out the last 47 cards on our list, and we’re DONE! Okay, it was technically 12:38am when we finished and therefore not the 12th day of Christmas anymore. It’s Epiphany/Three Kings Day. But since I haven’t gone to bed yet I’m gonna count this as getting my Christmas cards done by the end of Christmas. I even drove to the post office and dropped them in a mailbox so they’re officially on their way!
Although in looking for a link just now I learned that it’s considered unlucky to leave Christmas decorations up past Twelfth Night. Great. All our decorations are still up! Even my blog banner is still decorated for the holidays. Oh well, I still have to mail a few more packages containing Christmas gifts too.
But all our cards are mailed! Whew.
Anyone else still checking stuff off that Christmas to-do list?

yes, still got some christmas things to do….
but: here in europe the christmas decoration is usually up untill the 6th january or untill the 2nd of february….so, you’re not in a hurry considering that you’re kind of european as well:)
have a great day!

Whoops I thought twelth night was today! Yes my Christmas tree is still up. My cat will be sad when we take it down tonight as she thinks its a big toy especially for her. We both sit and meditate at the preety lights(me with a cup of coffee in my hand) each morning before I commute to the next room to work :)
I am so glad to see that I am not the last person in the world to get my cards in the mail. I kept telling myself that I was “extending the joy of the season”-Ha! I still have most decorations up, so I guess there goes 2009! ;-)
All of my Christmas decorations are still up here. Haven’t really thought about bringing them down either… hmmm. Maybe next week!
I love that you still sent cards. I didn’t get around to doing it this year and the only positive thing about it is I’m not beating myself up about it.
We still have our Christmas decorations up…maybe this weekend we’ll get around to putting it away.
I’ve officially decided to take everything down in February. My portfolio is due Jan 22nd and I’m not touching anything until then. That includes the new Singer sewing machine that I got ofr Christmas too.
I’ve taken all the decorations (except the window stars) down. The fun task of tetris-ing them back into the boxes is still ahead of me. Also, of course, I’m still working on the all-important task of eating cookies. :)
I got all of my Christmas stuff down on Sunday. It always feels sad to put it away. But on the other hand, it does give me a sense of relief to have things a back to normal as well (since we end up with some crowded furniture once the tree goes up!).
I’ve always heard that decorations come down ON Epiphany. So you are still on schedule! No bad luck!
J’s tree in his room and A’s tree in his room, otherwise the holidays are over for use here.
Yes! We just sent our cards off yesterday. And I have lots of thank-you cards to write/send. And, yep, the tree is still up.
Our tree is still up, and I really don’t want to take it down, but I know I should, so I will. Eventually.
Yay for finishing your Christmas cards! We just won’t talk about mine, k? Thx.
Last year we left our tree up until Easter. It was still GREEN, for heavens sake!
We have our Christmas stuff up. In fact we even turned on the lights on the Christmas tree. I’m watching them blinking right now. :)
