Pardon my dust

August 3rd, 2008

Due to a recent WordPress upgrade, my category names have disappeared. The categories themselves still exist, just the names are gone. Yeah, I don’t really get it either, but apparently I am not the only one it’s happened to. I’m working on getting it fixed. Thanks for your patience!

UPDATE: All fixed! A million thanks to Heather for helping me out. (I owe you a batch of margarita cookies!) For anyone else who might be having this problem, here is where you can find the fix for missing WordPress categories.

Have I mentioned how I envy your WordPress format? I stick to Blogger, despite the frustrating limitations, because I fear change. Well, no, I don’t really fear change – I fear, specifically, the change from Blogger to WordPress. I suppose I fear change I don’t think I know how to control. Thaaaaat’s it…I’m a control freak.

Well it looks like everything’s worked out now; hurray! Thanks for reminding me that I need to upgrade.

I have upgraded (for self and others) no less than seven blogs this past week and have not had one bit of trouble (knock on wood). I am so sorry you had this problem. But so glad you got it fixed.

Ah, for me it was my individual post links that broke, rather than my categories!

SmockLady – It seems to occur only when you upgrade a blog that has not been updated before WordPress’ major overhaul. I believe we were updating from 2.2 if I remember correctly.
