phoning in the Annalieisms (plus random cute photos)
May 19th, 2009
The other day Annalie walked into the living room and said, “Oh, my phone is ringing! That’s probably the Navy.” She pulled an old cell phone out of her pocket, flipped it open, and had the following heated conversation:
“This is Annalie….WHAT?!??! Are you crazy? There’s no wrangly-tangly monster in the world!…What?! If you ever say that to me again mister, I’ll never be your friend again!…Can you call Pizza Hut?…What? A date with you? But I don’t even love you!…That’s it, I’m never ever going to play with you ever EVER again. Good-BYE!”
Then she slammed the phone shut and marched out of the room.
Troy and I were lounging on the couch at our friends’ house when Annalie came up to us and said, “Mommy, can you just move over by Daddy so I can take a picture of you kissing and hugging?” I moved over so Troy could put his arm around me. We cheesed as Annalie held up a toy Spider-Man cell phone and carefully snapped a photo.
“How does it look?” I asked.
“Good, but…” Annalie turned the phone around so we could see the brightly-colored sticker representing the display part of the phone. “Spider-Man got in the way!”
I love that green wall for taking photos!

Oh man! She kills me!!!! Is this just Annalie or do I have stories like this to look forward to?
I also love the current tweet: “You know what’s a bad idea? Playing the guitar with your tongue.”
Annalie always brings the LOLs!
The wall IS a nice colorful background =)
I love the Spiderman story. That made me laugh!
“But I don’t even love you!”
But I love Annalie!!!
Oh man, that phone conversation is fantastic. The mix of adult and child subjects/reactions is superb.
Spiderman got in the way. I’d like to use that excuse for a lot of situations. She is one funny girl.
She had personality plus! I’ve posed for many a toy cell phone photo :-)
I love the Spiderman one, that is just hilarious.
She’s SUCH a character!!
Awesome!
She is such a card!
Ross came to work with me once when he was about four. At my desk, he calmly picked up the phone, murmured something along the lines of “Yes, uh-huh, ok, yes, yes, YES, OK?!” Hanging up, he turned and said, “That was Tokyo. You’re all fired.”
Totally off subject but you know what it so great about all these pictures of Annalie? When she is older, she will never ever be camera shy or at a loss for a pose to strike if all else fails. Yay!
I was gonna say I love the GREEN WALL too – and the expressions are hysterical – especially that second one.
Soon I have to write a new blog post and I’m sad about Annalie moving off that prime spot above the fold. :)
