Photos as ornaments
December 12th, 2008
Are you trying to figure out an inexpensive way to decorate for the holidays this year? Are you a bit weary of commercially mass-produced ornaments? Does your Christmas tree have some bare spots? Corynne of CrynFiction wanted her family’s tree this year to have more of a homemade feel to it. In addition to some crafty ornaments and gingerbread people, she had the brilliant idea to decorate the tree with favorite family photos, clipped to the branches with clothespins. I love it!

That is really a darling idea! I don’t have a tree this year, but I’ll file this idea away!
That’s a great idea! I’m going to share it with my sister, who doesn’t have a collective 18 years of kid-related ornaments on her tree…
Can’t help it but this reminds me of when my hubby proposed! He did it on Christmas eve, bought a whole tree as part of the proposal and decorated it with photos of us as ornaments – it was very sweet so this idea is close to my heart!
I am a slacker and did not put my tree away all year (yes…it remained “up” in my sunroom BUT I did remove the ornaments). This is a great idea for people like me! I plan on placing pictures on my “empty” tree that I am to “lazy” to put away all year! Thanks for the idea!
What a neat idea!
This is a really good idea, I’ve collected quite a few photos for a calendar that I can take as jewelry.
Great idea! With 4 kids and all the homemade treasures we are never short of ornaments, BUT, I think these would be cute strung out on a red ribbon?
These are adorable! And yet another reason I am going to seriously mourn the loss of Polaroids.
My gosh, I love this. I must do it!
What awesome pictures! I love the ornaments…I am soo not crafty :)
Thank you for stopping by my blog :)
Cheers
