I'm going to cloth diaper if I ever have a child... I decided upon that first from reading Jessica's site (Very Mom) and then discussions that her readers had that led me to other sites... but I don't know anyone around me that has done that in real life. Except my mom, my brother and I were cloth diapered because we didn't react well to whatever materials were in disposables. But it's an idea that intrigued me right when I started reading/hearing about it (as an adult).

Great photos, and you look radiant in the pics!

Amelia Grace is heavy on my heart today, too. Praying for that sweet family.

Yay for splash parks - and for Carrie! I fell out of reading her blog, it's so good to see her pop up - and for cloth diapers. I really am thinking about doing it with my next kiddo, especially if I continue to stay home. The thing is, I'm going to have to get better about laundry! But I know it could save us tons of money in the long run.

I loooooove Cloth Diapers!!! I've CDed Zoey since she was 8 weeks old and big enough to fit into our infant sized diapers. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM :-) We use Rockin Green too and it is some really awesome stuff! FuzziBunz and prefolds with Thirsties Duo Covers are my favorites!

praying for Amelia Grace today.....

we "clothed" our first 3 1/2 kids...even hung them out to dry with the first two....very manageable....especially since there will only be one in diapers....(I stopped halfway through Elly's first year because of having Andrew AND Elly needing them) If you need more resource info or advice, I can connect you with Angie...her daughter is 4 so she's been down that path more recently than me. My cloth diapering hint: even though the new cloth diapers come with fancy wraps/covers, etc., I found good old fashioned Gerber plastic pants work best to keep the leaks from occurring! They wash well in the diaper load...plastic pants cut down on my laundering of CLOTHES and blankets that were leaked upon (especially with long naps)! And don't worry! That cloth diaper "odor" of a load waiting to be done will become synonymous with your new baby! :) Love at first sniff! And it will bring back memories to all of us who've traveled the cloth diaper path during motherhood! And remind me to tell you about "liners!"

Yay! What a fun post to read, even though I was there. It was just a really nice day.

I am also so surprised by the number of cloth diapering people. I posted about it on my blog when I was thinking about doing it and found out tons of people were into it. I have also met several moms in my town who are doing it--not because I was seeking them out, but because they would see Elsa in cloth and ask about it.

My Mom cloth diapered me and my brother (in the late 70's early 80's). I don't think as many people were doing it back then. They mostly did it to save money though, but it was a nice side affect that it was good for the environment.

I haven't finished reading this post yet... but noticed you were at the park in my town!! And, I just discovered the splash park/ mini golf the other day and was going to tell you about it! There is also an awesome adventure playground there that we played on (me and my friends... we didn't have any kids) the other night.

Spray sunscreen.
There is a point where it becomes not-so-good. The other day I put a generous amount on, laid out on my towel and the towel fused to my skin. So weird, but mostly embarassing.
Im interested to see how the cloth diapering goes. And the wipe solution? Neat-o. New products make me wish I had a new baby to use them on. But I have to quit doing that.
