The Great Gumball Giveaway!

I painted a new Gumball the Kitten mug a while back. Do you know Gumball? You have probably seen him on my original Gumball mug, either in my favicon in the navigation bar up there, or in my Flickr photostream somewhere.
My friend Brenda (AKA Secret Agent Josephine) created Gumball to make party favors for her daughter’s Pinkkkkity First Birthday Party a bit more than a year ago. Then she decided the fun didn’t need to end with the party and created a Flickr group to promote Gumball WORLD DOMINATION!!! And it seems to be working.
The photos above are all from the Gumball flickr group…to see credits for each photo click on the mosaic.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it at first. Should it be a gift? Should I sell it in my Etsy shop? Then I knew what I had to do, what the most fun thing would be…a GIVEAWAY!
Would you like to own this new Gumball the Kitten mug? It’s bigger than the original, holding 16 ounces instead of the standard 12. It’s curvy and has a nice feel to it. It’s dishwasher safe, and although it does get hot it’s microwave safe, too. It was hand-painted by yours truly at a local paint-your-own-pottery shop with Secret Agent Josephine‘s design.
Here’s what you have to do.
1. Go to the Gumball Flickr group, look through the photos, and pick a favorite.
2. Leave a comment on this post, including the link to your favorite photo.
If you do those two things, your name will be placed in a drawing for this mug! Some Gumball magnets might also be given as a second prize, you never know. The drawing will be held, oh, this Saturday or Sunday probably. I will post a reminder a day or two before I close the comments on this post. When I do that, no more entries will be accepted and the drawing will be held and a winner announced this time next week. Anyone can enter, whether you know me or not, whether you’re a longtime Gumball follower or are just hearing of him today.

I think it’s because I’m expecting my first child, and I just bought some cloth dipes for the Babby! If I end up using them and not chickening out I’ll likely try to do some creative stuff like this for my little one!

I had to pick Gumball on the beach towel in Jamaica. How appropriate. This contest is reminding me of yet another project on my worktable that isn’t finished. I think it is time to show off Gumball in our Nation’s capital.
Choosing just one was not an easy task but after looking through all of the photos several times I think this is my favorite. It looks like Gumball is keeping a very watchful eye over this little princess!
