Theology with Annalie

June 17th, 2008

After brushing her teeth one night before bedtime and apropos of nothing, Annalie wrapped her arms around herself and addressed the mirror:

“I’m gonna give myself a hug, like this, and when I do I am really giving God a hug. Because God is up there, but He’s also here…” she placed her hands on her heart and continued, “…so when I hug myself I am really hugging God! And you know, God is a kid to me, because I’m a kid, but He is really GINORMOUS!” She opened her eyes spread her arms wide. “And sometimes we think He is only up there in the sky, but He is also really here in my heart too.”

Last week SuperChic climbed all the way to the top of the pine tree (30′-40′) and declared, “I can see heaven!” When she got down she told me she liked it up there because she could talk to God.
