Angella was here for a whirlwind visit! I’ve been reading and commenting on her blog and exchanging emails and Flickr comments with her for almost two years now, which is hard to believe. She is one of the people who really encouraged me to start this blog, so in part you have her to blame thank. It was great to finally meet her in person.
You will be relieved to know, I’m sure, that this was yet another fantastic internet-meet-real-life event, with yet another blogger who is just as kind and funny and smart in person as she is online.
We only had one day to hang out with Angella. But that was no problem, we knew exactly what we wanted to do: paint pottery, of course!
After picking up lattes and having breakfast on Snail Mountain, we headed over to the mall to paint. Since Brenda is friends with Angella too (she introduced me to Dutch Blitz in the first place), and since she never has to be asked twice to paint pottery, she and Bug had also come down to join in the fun.
After we painted and had lunch, it was time to go. We dropped off Angella at Sarah‘s and had dinner with Brenda & Bug while we waited out the rush-hour traffic before heading back home. There were big plans for a get-together tonight, which I heard was quite fun and I’m rather sorry I had to miss it.
But I couldn’t stay. Annalie and I are getting on a plane to Maryland in just under 30 hours! I haven’t done any laundry or made any packing lists. We’re very excited about seeing our friends again but before then we have a lot to accomplish. Saturday’s gonna be a busy day.

Oh, It looks like you guys had so much fun…Lattes, pottery and good friends…what could be better then that! :)
Wow, it looks like you guys had a fantastic day. I was just telling my crafty sister the other day that she was going to have to go with me to the pottery paint place, I need to practice in case I ever get out your way!
Pack warm clothes! MD is freezing! :) We still have ice on the ground in my part of MD. Not sure if Southern MD melted or not yet. :)
It was SO GOOD to meet you!! I still need to download my photos from our day together and go through them. I am sure Brenda and I will have dueling laptops tonight :)
Travel safe!!!
OOOOhhhh, welcome back to the East Coast! (apparently you aren’t here yet, but I’m excited.) Bundle up, it isn’t warm and sunny here!
what a great picture of the three of you. so fun. (I like your post title. :)
So. Jealous.
I want to go too and paint pottery! Love how they look like!
Where do you buy the pieces? Are they available online? I mean, the mugs, etc…
Recently took the kids to pottery too. Your rainbow cupcakes look DEEEELISH!
I LOVE blogger meet-ups! I got to do one this weekend too – but in MUCH colder temperatures ;) Glad you had a great time, and I hope you have a great trip to Maryland!
[...] on about the first two days that I spent with Bethany and Brenda but they both have captured it all too well that anything I say would be a redundant repeat. I do have a photo of me with those two lovely [...]
You are totally making me want to start painting pottery. I haven’t done it since I was in 8th grade and admittedly that handmade clay pig was not my finest hour.
